Heartstart Skye is part of the British Heart Foundation's "Heartstart" scheme. We provide FREE 2 hour courses in Emergency Life Support. Courses are available to businesses, groups, clubs and individuals. We work closely with local charity Lucky2bhere to provide training in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).  |
Phone: 01478 612755 Our aim is provide Emergency Life Support training to all pupils of Portree High School within the next 2 years. We are also committed to providing training to people living in remote rural communities. The geography of the North West Highlands means that it could be up to two hours before expert help is available in an emergency. Every year in the UK 260,000 people suffer a heart attack - 30% of those die before reaching hospital. The more people that we are able to train in Emergency Life Support the greater the chance of a successful outcome.  |
